The 2008 spring bear hunt was another block buster! We had 9 hunters on the first hunt. All but one filled out by the 3rd day! We had 6 hunters on the second hunt. All filled out on the first day! As in the past, at least half of the bears will qualify for the record books! Along on this hunt was 83-year-old, Royce McNeil, who was on his third bear hunt with us in the past 3 years. He again shot a nice bear . . . his biggest so far! And the biggest in camp! Not bad for an 83-year-old guy.

“Denny, I just love hunting with you in Russia,” said McNeil. ”You always have everything so well planned. Everything goes like clock-work. The camps are comfortable, the staff so friendly, and the food is wonderful; always more than enough to eat. And you just know you are going to get a bear. But, that’s just the icing on the cake. I come for the experience.”

As usual, we rely totally on out hunters to send us their photos after they return home from their hunt. Unfortunately, we only get photos from about half the hunters. So here is what we have so far. We will add more as they come in.

By the way, were 9 for 9 on out fall bear hunt in 2007.  Several already in the book. The fall 2008 bear hunt should be another dandy!
