When: August 26 - September 6, 2007

Where: West-Central Russia

What: Interior brown (grizzly) bear

How
: Guides plant patches of oats in forest, then build shooting platform along edge of field where hunters sit and wait for bears to come out into field. May also stalk and shoot.


Facilities
: Either cabins or an apartment house in nearest town. Electricity, hot & cold running water, flush toilets and showers all available at apartment house. Sometimes stay in home with same. In cabins we have generator for electricity and most camps have a sauna or a portable shower for cleaning up. All meals prepared and cooked by staff. Beds, heat, etc.

Weather: Similar to fall here in upper midwest. Lows from 20 to 30 in A.M. and evening, and highs from 50 to 60 during day.

Type Of Terrain: Similar to southern Canada and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Flat, forested with mixture of conifer, birch, and poplar.

Recommended Firepower: 300 mag. or 338. Have had bears also taken with 7mm mag.

Shooting Distance: Shots average 75 to 125 yards. Some closer and farther.

Other Trophies Available For Extra Tag Fees: Second bear. Wild boar are abundant. Moose available. Some wolves and Capracallie in area. Pay for tag fee after you shoot the animal. List of extra tag fees available on request.

Price of Expedition Package: Includes all local transportation in Russia, food, lodging in camp, guides, bear license, trophy fees, interpreters, skinning and salting of hide. A deposit of $1,500 is required to reserve a spot on the hunt. Please contact us for current price list.

Does Not Include: Personal items such as fees for passports, visa (we will help you get your visa once you obtain a passport) tips, souvenirs, transportation to Russia or the Ukraine, hotels and meals in town, U.S. Fish & Wildlife fees, taxidermy fees, and other items of a personal nature.

Hides: Will be skinned, fleshed and salted.

Note:We have taken several bears that place in the top ten SCI world record books! Several others are currently being scored that should also go top twenty!

Deposit: A deposit of $1,500 is required to hold a spot in camp.
